Today, the coroner concluded the investigation into the death of Robin Windsor, confirming that Robin took his own life.
We want to begin by holding space for Robin’s family, and for everyone who loved him. This is devastating news, and we recognise the pain that comes with it, especially after such a long period of uncertainty.
Robin mattered. Deeply.
He was talent, warmth, mischief, brilliance, and heart.
And he will always be remembered with love.
At You Are Loved, we also know that news like this can land in a very personal way. It can stir grief, shock, anger, confusion, or memories many people work hard to keep steady. If you are feeling overwhelmed right now, you are not alone, and you do not have to carry it quietly.
In Robin’s honour, and in response to this moment, we are recommitting ourselves to what You Are Loved exists to do: suicide and drug misuse prevention through community engagement, holistic support, and honest conversation.
We have also recently revamped Ask Bobby, our community and support directory named in memory of Robin. Ask Bobby is now AI powered, designed to help people find the right support and community when life feels heavy, lonely, or you just do not know where to start. It is accessible via the You Are Loved website: www.youareloved.org.uk
Over the coming weeks, we will be sharing voices from within our community, including lived experience, because silence helps nobody and honesty saves lives.
We will also be launching Hard Talks, a series of queer community gatherings focused on the root causes that can lead people to feel isolated, ashamed, trapped, or beyond help. These are spaces to speak, listen, and be held by people who understand. Not judgement. Not fixes. Just connection, honest conversation, and peer support.
If you are struggling today, please reach out to someone you trust. If you need urgent help, you can contact Samaritans (116 123) in the UK, or your local emergency services.
Robin’s name will always stand for love, and for the reminder that even in the darkest moments, support exists.
You are loved. 🤍
