We are

You Are Loved

A non-profit organisation focused on community and peer-support based LGBTQ+ suicide and drug misuse prevention by addressing the root causes. We help queer people find the support and community they need through the Ask Bobby directory, mobilise our community to talk, share and support each other better, and provide mental health support services for LGBTQ+ community organisations.

We provide

Support

A central part of our mission is to provide support and help people find community and belonging. In June 2025, we launched Ask Bobby – a nationwide LGBTQ+ directory for community and support. And to help those who have lost a loved one to suicide or a drug-related death, we provide free, LGBTQ+ specific bereavement support.

Fund the

Directory

The Ask Bobby Directory is more than just a list of services. It’s a lifeline. By connecting LGBTQ+ people with safe, inclusive spaces, we are combating isolation and building a stronger community.

But technology costs money. To keep the directory free for users and organisations, we need your help to cover hosting, development time and outreach.

What people

say

Being an LGBTQ+ only group it was completely different to anything I had experienced before. There was no need to hold back, to explain, to qualify anything I said. No caveats, no toning down, no worry about shocking or even disgusting anyone, all of which I had felt was the case rightly or wrongly at other times. As LGBTQ+ people we have spent a lifetime doing that, checking ourselves. Being in an LGBTQ+ group with shared experiences, suffering the same grief from losing a partner, a friend, a sibling or any loved one and not having to check myself and what I say, was a revelation for me.

James · General feedback

The use and abuse of drugs amongst friends, new people who come to the city quickly get sucked in and often left lonely: I think there is a lot that can be done to make them feel a sense of belonging and to break the stigma that the queer community is toxic and that we are here to bring community and support

Adrien · General feedback

It has been helpful to be able to share my grief with others who are going through similar situations. I feel like they have been supportive, and it has also been nice to feel like I can support others in a similar way.
