OUR FUTURE, IS OUR COMMUNITY
Lambeth Links is a registered charity acting as the LGBTQIA+ community forum for Lambeth. Our vision is for Lambeth Links to be a central point of rallying, communication and advocacy on behalf of the LGBTQIA+ community who live, work and socialise in our borough. We aim to strengthen the links between us, yet at the same time highlight the many issues that still adversely affect our communities. Our work is guided by our belief in an intersectional approach toward inclusivity and respect both of and for others.
Our work covers four main areas:
ADVOCACY: Advocating for the needs of the LGBTIQA+ community in Lambeth by providing advice to decision makers and other relevant organisations.
COMMUNITY: Engaging directly with our community to understand what issues matter to them and how we can provide our support as a representative forum for our community.
EVENTS: Working with other organisations to provide safe, inclusive events for our community for a variety of purposes – such as to socialise, educate, rally, consult, or support.
RESEARCH: Supporting new and innovative research into LGBTIQA+ topics to ensure our community is seen, heard, and represented by building a case to support LGBTIQA+ specific policy and practice.
